Finances

To be eligible to study in Canada, you must provide Citizenship Immigration Canada (CIC) with proof that you have enough money to pay tuition and living expenses for the length of your program.

SBC suggests you have easy access to $1,500 in cash or traveller’s cheques for your initial expenses. If you are arriving with friends or family, or are required to make a deposit on a rental accommodation, you may need more than this amount.
